In The Beginning....
There is an old business axiom that says “find a need and fill it.” In 2000, that is exactly what Paul Morrow did when he founded CanAm Medsource, Ltd. in Massena, New York. At that time, the medical use of skin adhesive was just beginning and the market was dominated by one large pharmaceutical company with no serious competition for its product. As the use of adhesives began to spread, small medical clinics and doctors’ offices had no alternative available when it came time to find an affordable skin adhesive to use in place of sutures. CanAm offered something different – its one and only product called “Skinstitch,” a virtual unknown in medical circles at that time. Through dedication to quality, attention to customer service, and competitive pricing, Skinstitch gradually gained market share and increased its name visibility. As our product grew in popularity, the name Skinstitch became a medical trade name recognized around the world. This recognition prompted the corporation’s founder to rename the corporation to reflect the brand’s popularity. The result is the Skinstitch Corporation.
Pricing Philosophy....
Although our sales have increased on an average of 30% per year, we have held the line on price increases. In this era of yearly price hikes, we are proud to say that our product cost to customers remains at the 2001 level. Sales volume increases and low overhead allows us to help keep our customers' costs in check. No other skin advesive supplier can make that claim!
Our pricing policy at Skinstitch will be no price increases for a period of 2 years from your first order date. After the initial 2 year freeze period, a price increase, if necessary, will not occur until January of the next year.

The past few years have seen explosive growth in the skin adhesive field. Over time, other uses have emerged for this product type. These alternative uses have served to expand areas where skin adhesives can be used. Of course, our success has not gone unnoticed by venture capitalists and other investors. Several have contacted us to propose buying a controlling interest in our company, or, purchase us outright. Our customers have shown loyalty to us by continuing to purchase Skinstitch repeatedly.
